News from Ugly Creek
You may already know this, but I love saying/writing the words: I have a new release!
Why is this whacky woman so excited? you may wonder. After all, I have other books out. This isn’t the first novel ever released with my name on the cover. Well, there are two reasons: 1, No matter how many times it happens, it’s always exciting to have a new book out. A fresh, new cover with my name on it. Never gets old. 2. I’ve been through a lot the last few years. Losing my husband was almost more than I could handle, and I was just getting myself together when last year happened. Things happened, other things happened, and the bottom fell out of what my life had become. I spent a while putting myself back together. but some of the pieces no longer fit.
Finally things began to get better, and with a lot of help and support from friends and family, I got back to writing. So, this book is a physical representation of my recovery from adversity. I still have times when I want to just set in the recliner a friend gave me, and watch movies. But I don’t. I get back to writing.
This release is my 5th Ugly Creek book. Ugly Creek is a fictional Tennessee town. It’s small, and very odd. Soulmate is a big thing in Ugly Creek, and so is happy ever after. The Good, the Bad, and Ugly Creek is the newest of the tales. And no, you don’t have to read them in order, but you’ll enjoy them more if you do. 😉
