Welcome to my world of romance, where regular people confront the odd and different, and find love in the most unexpected places.

I was born and raised in the foothills of the Appalachian mountain chain just south of the Smoky Mountains section. I grew up in a tiny town where everybody knew everybody's business. I hated that. It seemed to me that everybody was always looking to find something to gossip about. I quickly learned I had an intense imagination,and could use it to escape. 

I've always loved books, and as soon as I could, I started to write. I didn't really think about getting published for years, then spent years having publishers tell me close but no thanks. Finally I broke through with a small publisher.

Today I'm a proud indie author, which means I chose to not go through a publisher. I publish my books. It's harder, but It allows me the freedom to write in the way I love.  

Why do I call myself a dragon whisperer? Because  my muse thinks she's a dragon. Together we write stories with happy endings. My books blend everyday experiences with the odd, fantastic, and supernatural, creating a magical journey.

I live near Nashville, Tennessee with two opinionated cats and close to my two adult daughters and their families. Join me in exploring the depths of love and the unexpected.
